Ending recurring property taxation will require informed and sustained public involvement across the country. Untax the Roof is still building the research, policies, and organizational structure necessary to support that effort responsibly.
You can participate now without taking on a formal role.

Learn and Share
One of the most useful things supporters can do during this early stage is help more people understand how property-tax systems operate.
You can read and share sourced articles, direct people to the original records supporting factual claims, discuss the issue respectfully, encourage others to examine their state and local property-tax laws, and follow Untax the Roof as the national research and advocacy network develops.
Please preserve the context and source links when sharing our work. Do not alter our materials in a way that misrepresents their meaning or makes unsupported claims appear to come from Untax the Roof.
Contact Us
A general contact form is available for questions, feedback, and relevant information. See Contact.
Because Untax the Roof is in its early organizational stage, we may not be able to investigate, verify, or respond individually to every message. Sending information does not guarantee that it will be published or used.
Formal processes for submitting research, requesting corrections, and sharing personal property-tax experiences will be introduced after appropriate review procedures and privacy protections are established.
State and Local Organizing
Untax the Roof is not currently appointing state coordinators, local organizers, chapters, or official representatives.
We expect to begin developing those opportunities during the coming year. Before doing so, we must establish clearly defined roles, application and approval procedures, training and research standards, recordkeeping requirements, communications policies, privacy practices, a code of conduct, and procedures for handling complaints and removing authorization.
Submitting an expression of interest does not authorize anyone to use the Untax the Roof name, establish a chapter, collect money, make commitments, lobby on the organization's behalf, or represent themselves as an official organizer.
Standards of Conduct
Anyone participating in an authorized Untax the Roof activity will be expected to:
- Act lawfully and peacefully.
- Refrain from threats, harassment, intimidation, and discriminatory conduct.
- Use accurate information and identify supporting sources.
- Clearly distinguish facts from opinions and advocacy positions.
- Treat disagreement respectfully.
- Protect confidential and personal information.
- Follow applicable lobbying, campaign-finance, fundraising, and reporting requirements.
- Avoid claiming to speak for Untax the Roof without written authorization.
- Never collect money in the organization's name without authorization.
- Follow the organization's policies and lawful instructions.
A complete Supporter and Organizer Code of Conduct will be published before formal recruitment begins.
Donations
Untax the Roof is still completing the legal, financial, and technical safeguards needed to accept and document contributions responsibly.
Donation opportunities will be announced when those systems are ready. Until then, no person is authorized to solicit or collect money on behalf of Untax the Roof. See Donations and Financial Transparency.
Building Carefully
We want this movement to grow, but responsible growth requires preparation. Untax the Roof will expand its volunteer and organizing opportunities as the necessary structure, documents, and safeguards are put in place.
For now, the best ways to help are to join the email list, learn about the issue, share reliable information, and follow the organization's progress.
